This design of the Noguchi Cyclone Table was first made by Isamu Noguchi in 1954. It evolved from a rocking stool of metal wire into a table. The Noguchi table was converted in its full size in 1957, from design icon Hans Knoll’s suggestion. Knoll then reintroduced the table in collaboration with Noguchi.
The Replica Isamu Noguchi Cyclone Dining Table has an intriguing twisted stainless steel base. The intertwined stainless steel wires give a cyclone effect, as the name suggests. In this design Noguchi’s sculptural background is very well articulated.
The dining table comfortably seats four people and its circular shape is particularly good for smaller kitchens or dining areas. The top is made from plywood and comes with either black or white melamine laminate. The base is made from powder coated cast iron steel and also comes in either black or white.
